Which one is which?

Added by David Cowan over 2 years ago

I'm curious... so far, I've found three different places hosting jamplus
jamplus.org
github/Unity-Technologies
github/Scraft (this one Joshua pointed me at, which had Wii targets)

Which one is the 'one, true' jamplus? Are they truly completely separate branches? Do you guys integrate changes/fixes/features into each others repos?

Are there any other 'more active' jamplus discussion lists or newsgroups? (Not that I don't appreciate the help that Joshua and others have offered -- it is muchly appreciated)

jamplus.org is the official website for JamPlus. http://github.com/jamplus/jamplus/tree/master is the GitHub-hosted location of the Git repository.

Unity-Technologies and Scraft are both public forks used within companies. I'm not sure if the Scraft one states publicly which company it is used within. Both forks have had internal patches made. If possible, those patches are merged directly back into the core JamPlus. I believe both regularly merge latest JamPlus master into the fork's master.

This forum is the only active place on the web for JamPlus discussion. A number of people/companies email directly, but I prefer discussions be had here for the benefit of others.

Perforce runs the Jam mailing list. The traffic is very low, but there are plenty of people who will answer Jam related questions on there.
