Jam nextgen vs .3/.4 code
Added by Tim S about 1 year ago
Hello,
I'm just coming back to JamPlus and I'm confused about the two versions of code. Does the nextgen branch have all of the .4 code plus more? Should I use that version, or go back to .3? I know you mentioned in several posts that some bugs were fixed in the .4 code, are those in NextGen too? Thanks!

The nextgen branch is built on top of the current master branch, but the nextgen branch has more features, as it is the primary development line for me.
When a change is easy to backport into master, I do so, and I rebase (hey, I'm the only one working in it right now!) all of nextgen on top of master.
I would recommend using the nextgen branch for all further development, but since many things are different, I won't get rid of the master branch any time soon.

How/Where can I get a copy of the source for the nextgen branch?

Sorry, but got an error when posting and so it posted multiple times.

Okay, answered my own question. Sorry, I guess I should have started a new thread or something, but the simplest way to get the source is just to go to:
https://github.com/jamplus/jamplus/tree/nextgen
and hit "download as a zip"
It would be nice to have a link to this somewhere on this website!
